Registro de un dominio en China

Una empresa basada en China nos indica que quiere registrar nuestro dominio en China. El correo es el siguiente:

Dear Sirs,

Our company based in chinese office, our company has submitted your domain as CN(.cn/.com.cn/.net.cn/.org.cn) domain name and Internet Keyword, we are waiting for Mr. Jim's approval. We think this name is very important for our products in Chinese market. Even though Mr. Jim advises us to change another name, we will persist in this name.

Es interesante ver que el correo viene de un buzón de correo hotmail:jiang.zhihai116@hotmail.com y hace referencia a un tal Jim.

Al poco tiempo se recibe un correo del señor Jim insistiendo en ese tema:

Dear Manager,

We have not heard from you since our last comunication. Since your company haven’t registered this name as CN domains (cn/ com.cn/ net.cn/ org.cn) and internet keyword on the internet, anyone can obtain them by registration. You must know the domain names and internet keyword which applied based on the international principle are opened to companies as well as individuals. Also, we have suggested they should choose another name but they are persistent in this name. As a domain name registrar, we have no rights to refuse their application if they insist. In this situation, we have told you your company have the priorty in registering CN domains and internet keyword in our audit period. Could you tell us whether or not your company want to register these CN domain names and internet keyword to prevent anyone from using them? If your company need to register these names in china, we can send an application form and the price list to you and help you register these within dispute period.

Se trata de un empresa de registro de dominio que tiene que aprobar la solicitud de petición de dominio en China.

La intención que hay detrás de ese doble correo es forzar el registro del dominio en China con la amenaza inminente de que otra empresa lo quiere adquirir.

Mi buen concejo es no hacer caso a ese correo y eventualmente pensar en si nos merece la pena registrar nuestro dominio en otras partes del mundo con nuestro proveedor habitual.
